Happy Birthday Meagan

It was nice to celebrate with you vicariously by reading bout you on Facebook but we'll see you soon enough!

In your honor I ran five miles this morning and after a suitable recovery, did some fall yard work by bringing in some chairs and the hoses and sprinkler from the back. The garage is starting to look like winter.

We had a house guest today, too. KC brought in a chipmunk but it couldn't stay and ran out the front door.

We went to Bernie's and put her porch stuff away too.

After that, crossword puzzles, Indians, NASCAR, and the Ryder Cup. Leftovers with a fresh salad. All of this came out of mom's little garden today.

A beautiful day. I hope your birthday was a wonderful celebration.

A full day.

An action packed full Saturday.
I ran. I mowed. I edged. I cleaned up the yard waste.
Your mother went to see Kami and Jesse.

We cooked.

We went to Housers and all people wanted to do was ask us about the trip. I am sure their ears are tired.

I also spent a lot of time there teaching people how to use their iPhones. Not that I have one but they all think I know and I was happy to oblige.

The other picture is from Friday. I forgot I took it. It's on the Square in Medina.

The Indians are in the 12th inning, tied 6-6. Once they're done, we're done!

Still raining

I slept in. Just as I went out the door it started to rain but I figured there is no difference, other than temperature, between rain and sweat, and I was right. Even the cats don't like it. Well, most of them anyway.

More little things; I picked up my sunglasses, took some shirts to the laundry for the wedding, and then spent some time with my guitars. In case you've missed this:

First video to Blogger!

I also looked for things that caught my eye for Instagram. Best I got.

Then errands for last minute/recently added items. I also got an OtterBox for my new iPod. Better protection than Coveroo, even with Captain America on the back. In fact that's about all that was good about the Coveroo; a great image of Captain America.

Mom is at JWCC. The DVR is set to tape the season premieres of TBBT and Two and a Half Men. The Browns take on the Ravens and the Indians have the night off. Manny Acta has the rest of the season off as they fired him today. Not his fault but certainly easier to fire him than the stiffs in the front office or the ones who 'played' for him this season. Oh, well. (American for C'est la vie!)

The pictures haven't been seen by both of you; one to Kakao, one to Instagram with a filter, and one appearing here for the first time.

All day rain.

It has rained all day except when I ran and then it was just humid.

Your mother had been to Panera yesterday so I had a Pecan Roll for breakfast!! She was at breakfast until almost two so I did some upkeep and then communed with Les for quite a while. We had a good dialogue. Seven little words knows what I meant by that!

Found Chloe sleeping on our bed. Too wet for her!

UPS came just before dinner. Batteries not included. Just might come in handy soon!

Watching the Indians stink again. It is beyond old. Way beyond!

That kind of night! Dead kitty!

Closer and closer

Small things.
Currency exchanged.

New glasses picked up.

Shopping.

Major time required maintenance done on my Honda.
Two bean chili for dinner.

The Indians won today.
Mom waiting patiently for DWTS.

Bud slept in the basement all day while Chloe has only been in to eat.

500,000 Won

What an exchange rate!! Everything is moving right along. Just don't aggravate me between then and now!

Notice no comments on the iPod. Finally where it was to a point. Lost some game data but nothing else.

Getting there

39 degrees this morning for the weekend five! More work on the iPod.

Scrambled eggs for breakfast and more work on the iPod.

Mowed and . . . .

Eggplant Parmesan for dinner but done with the iPod for today.

Pictures later??

You have to love Google. I found why I was losing the artwork from songs imported from CDs. The iPod Touch and therefore the iPhone 5 is meant to work best with songs you BOUGHT from Apple. There's a  surprise!! For $24.99 a year you can put all of your music on iCloud and they convert it for you to that type of file. Not quite ready to do that yet.

Same stuff and some new stuff.

Ran and worked on restoring my iPod.
Rearranged the family room and worked on restoring my iPod

Had dinner with Heather and Brian. The pizza was outstanding.

Now we're watching the Indians find new ways to lose and restoring my iPod.

Rebuilding my iPod

Up to run and as I went out the door a certain calico bolted out of Lang's driveway right into the street. Fortunately, the woman in the gray SUV had grayer hair than her car and was driving slowly enough to come to a dead stop.

We went to Apple, got my iPod, Second Sole for shoes for your mother, Szalay's for fruits and vegetables and Sarah's Winery for lunch. A quick nap and then off to d'Agnesi's for dinner with the Banners.

Now it's Tribe time and more work on getting my iPod back to how it was. Long story short, it wold not back up as advertised from the last backup - last night's version. Dang.

Eventually it will match all of the photos I took of what was on it but much was lost.

Bad new, good news.

Not the best way to start my day.
My iPod got some water on it and when I went to dry it it slipped out of my hands and towel. Hard to tell from the picture but the bottom left corner shattered and spider cracks go across the glass. S$#^.

Apple can't clone it. Apple can't guarantee I'd get the new iPod before we leave BUT for $149.00 they'll trade my old one for the exact same thing which they do have in stock so tomorrow that will be done. Fortunately a LOT of the music I had on my iPod is still on my HD and I spent the few moments it took to take pictures of the contents so I can recreate it over the next few days.

All of my Apps will transfer but not the music. Dang.

We went to see Jason this morning. Your inheritance is still intact. We had lunch with the Papps and your mother got some new clothes at Christopher Banks.

The Indians won this afternoon but it was not on TV. Sounds like a Big Bang Marathon kind of night.
Bazinga!

A CVNRA Day aka Harleyday

I went to Boston Mills last week to get my pass but couldn't so they were going to mail it. Technical problems. So . . . we rode out there today and it was brisk to say the least.

We tried to buy vegetables at Szalay's but no cash plus no ATM card equals no Vegetables. C'est la vie.

Everything worked and I got my pass and then I took your mother to Boston Station which is where a Visitor Center for the CVNRA is located. The pictures are on FB but here are some you may not have seen.

Go Tribe. It has to be better than last night!

Rain makes it feel like fall.

I could call to mind lots of songs about rain but . . . .

It started raining last night and didn't stop until about three this afternoon. Except of course while I was running. Nice of the weather to do that for me!

Mom was at Hospice for a while and then we ran errands. Both of you saw the comforter and it passed so that's good. I went to Dr. Manning and my eyes are worse than a year ago. Aging. But one click in one eye and one and a half in the other. I know, still better than you pre-surgery. That means new glasses. C'est la vie. After that it was fill the box time, tape it shut, and put all the letters in all of the little squares on the customs forms. PITA in case anyone wondered.

Grilled burgers with fresh tomatoes and baked potato discs.

Now it's Tribe Time and we're sitting here in sweatshirts as the temperature continues to drop.

Little accomplishments

I ran and your mother spent most of the day at Hospice. Once she got home we organized a lot of paperwork. Then she went to a JWCC meeting and just got home.

While she was gone I trimmed a tree and staked my peppers. Cooked a great meal that we ate separately. C'est la vie.

You saw from the pictures that I had a new girlfriend most of the day.

C'est la vie.

The real Sunday post

We got the final final itinerary today and everything is getting closer.

Today would have been the poster child of fall. Clear and crisp. Perfect for mowing? Wrong but that's what happened. A scheduled day off from running but easily filled after mowing with the Browns, NASCAR, and the Indians, who won in the bottom of the ninth.

Maybe a fire, maybe not.

Testing

Trying the BlogSpot app.

A fall-like day

Up at seven to run my weekend five, I sweated like it was 80 but it was actually 50.
Mom had nails and we watched the first half of OSU when she got home. (They won, barely.) Then, shopping!! I sent you a picture by Kakao and you by cell phone of the day.

This was my view at Kohl's although we also hit Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, and Petco. It is always nice when the store has a man chair. Now, if they just had wi-fi . . . .
Some Indians, they lost, and Casa del Rio for dinner. The evening looks like more football although a fire is a strong possibility.
Tomorrow looks like some yardwork.

Windows and rain

I don't know if you remember how the kitchen windows needed some TLC, badly in all seriousness.

Done fixed finished. Ordered parts a week ago, got them yesterday, and put them in today. No sticks, no wishing they'll stay up or lock correctly.

Mom played in a charity golf outing for Marian's Closet. She won several prizes at the post-match dinner. Started sunny, rained, but then got lucky at the end. The food was good.

That's it. Indians at seven.

Three in a row

And tomorrow should make four.

After a leisurely start to the day we got moving and went grocery shopping. That doesn't mean the day was without excitement. I was sitting in the kitchen posting photos from last weekend when I heard your mother talking to a strange animal. Having had strange cats in the house before, including the one that ate food from Meagan's room, I just thought 'cat'. Wrong! Golden lab! Leash and all. The leash caught between planks on the deck or he would have been in the house.

Long story short I found the owner who was looking for him. If you follow the sidewalk on Red Rock to the first cul de sac, count four houses and there you go.

Mom went to Hospice to address envelopes and I went riding. All roads lead somewhere and not all who wander are lost. I was close!

While taking pictures in West Salem, a man in a SUV stopped and asked if he could take a picture of the Harley. He has the same bike right down to the color. Small world.

Swordfish, squash, and baked potato for dinner. Life is good.

Work, play, and leftovers.

Up to run - work (out).

Put some photos on FB while I was waiting for the grass to dry enough to cut it. Bud helped me and I could tell by how wet his paws were that it would be a while. Anyway, about 11:30 I went at it - work.

Cleaned up all of the clippings - work.

Trimmed the maple in the back corner and raked up all of the leaves and cut the twigs to fire size - work.

Cleaned up and rode the motorcycle to Canton exploring. Didn't quite work as planned as I failed to answer the question of how one gets home without taking I-77. IF Canton believed in signs, I would have known I was on SR91 and known exactly what to do. C'est la víe! However, it was play!

422815_10151090612969010_1858545255_n

Had the last of the Mac & Cheese for dinner and now the Indians have some of my attention. Not all, but some. Your mother is at the last golf of the year which means a banquet, which means I might get some more leftovers.

Safe at Home

P531

And all is normal. We've seen all of the cats, KC is on my lap, and the house was in good order.

We made it in seven hours which included a stop at El Camino Real in Maumee for dinner on the patio and a gas stop. G & P make the same trip in over eight hours! Hmmmm
